Yum Yum Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings
Medium sized truck stop, Dirt/ mud parking with lot of pot holes but it makes up for the food and the huge portions. I got the special and it was TWO bbq sandwiches and that came with fries and cold slaw. I have two meals for $10.99! I’ve had better but my crinkle fries were well done like I asked and were hot and crispy! The buns were grilled!!And the bbq was ok, plenty of meat just not over sauced. I could have asked for a little extra but didn’t! The Cole slaw looked home made and had celery seeds too… Nothing fancy and I would come back when passing through. I’m tired of the commercial truck stops and all the fast food … I carry food in the truck , but once in a while, I like hot homestyle food. That’s what I got here. The server was good and smiled and was very pleasant. I used the restroom again, nothing fancy, but I did like the tile on the walls. The store was small had a few normal options plus some smokers paraphernalia if that’s your thing. It all could’ve been a little cleaner, but the folks from India usually don’t care about that: enough said.
I was really surprised how they did the cornbread and it was so great, no butter needed. Service was exceptional, heads up... Y'ALL TIP! Be appreciative someone was willing to come to work so you could have a hot meal cooked to order instead of fast food heat lamp crap. As a trucker, I don't eat out much and finding great quality mom n pop restaurants is getting harder to find and when I do, I tip because it's not a meal from a paper sack that's been sitting however long. I will definitely be returning, no matter the lot... just reminds me of my roots starting back 17yrs ago in the oil field and building pad sites on location. Food is pretty good, Service was better. See Y'all next time.
EXIT #62 OFF OF I-71 GLENCO KY GREAT AWESOME HOME COOKED FOODS PLENTY OF SIDES !!!!! THE PARKING LOT REALLY SUCKS IT'S ROUGH IF IT RAINS IT'S MUDDY WITH PONDS STANDING IN THE PARKING LOT!!! BUT I LOVE EATING HERE EVERY CHANCE I GET!!!
The food was really good. We didn't have any complaints. Hubby had the Chicken Fried Steak & I had the Pork Chops. The Fried Broccoli bites were good too.
Tucked inside a classic Kentucky truck stop with no-frills decor, the Yum Yum Shop is exactly what you’d expect—and a little more. We stopped in on a Tuesday night around 8:10 p.m. after a visit to Warsaw, not expecting much, but were pleasantly surprised to find the kitchen still open and cooking. We ordered a double cheeseburger with onion rings and a Philly cheesesteak with fries. The cheeseburger is definitely for those with a big appetite—hearty, hot, and cooked just right. The Philly had great flavor and generous fillings, though it came on regular sandwich bread instead of a hoagie bun, which felt a bit out of place. The fries and onion rings were both excellent and served piping hot, but the portion sizes were on the smaller side. One of the highlights of our visit was watching a sweet older couple, clearly regulars, beaming with pride over their granddaughter who was our waitress. It was a charming, small-town moment that made the whole experience feel even warmer. If you’re in the Glencoe area and craving a solid roadside meal, this little hidden gem is worth the stop. No frills, no hype—just simple food and genuine people, the way a good Kentucky truck stop should be
Clean place to eat. Simple chicken tenders x 3 with fries about $10. Honey mustard dip. Cherry cobbler, $3.99. Service was fast and the waitress was friendly.
I would encourage you to at least check it out! Refreshingly nothing like the loves, pilot, and TA! The staff is super friendly, store is stocked with a great variety of everything, and the restaurant is awesome. They don’t make em like this anymore, lots of parking, get your t shirt. 10/10 recommend
